PALAKA

As an embodiment brand this design is a reminder of the plantation era of Hawai'is history. A print said to be imported by England and America; and worn by the plantation workers.

More than the stylish beloved trending print it has become, reminding us of our tutu wearing their palaka shirt to parties and palaka shorts at home; this print embodies the hard work and hustle of the plantation workers and all that they had overcome to contribute to our history. Shout out to the Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Korean and Puerto Rican 'ohana who came to Hawai'i to work on the plantation; and for some, never to see their homeland again.

There are levels to this kaona and understanding, that as you adorn yourself in NOHIE you will bring your relationship with your attire, kupuna and self to deeper levels of intention in life.

This girls' swimsuit has all the main points needed in a swimsuit for those active kiddos who seem to be in perpetual motion.
